PT. Krakatau Shipyard was established in 2011 in Cilegon, Serang, Banten — strategically located in one of Indonesia's most significant industrial corridors, adjacent to the Sunda Strait.
Founded with a clear mission to contribute to Indonesia's maritime industry, PT. Krakatau Shipyard began operations with a 5-hectare shipyard facility equipped for the construction of steel, aluminum, and fiberglass vessels. The company was built on the expertise of experienced Indonesian naval architects, marine engineers, and skilled shipyard workers.
From its founding, PT. Krakatau Shipyard has focused on three core service areas: new vessel construction, ship repair and maintenance, and vessel modernization. This comprehensive service offering allows us to serve clients across the full lifecycle of their maritime assets.
Over the years, we have grown our capabilities to include a dedicated fiberglass production hangar (Hangar 1), an aluminum fabrication hangar (Hangar 2), a CNC cutting workshop, and a representative office in BSD, Tangerang Selatan to serve clients in the Jakarta metropolitan area.
Today, PT. Krakatau Shipyard stands as a certified, government-authorized shipyard with over a decade of proven experience in delivering quality vessels to government agencies, military clients, and commercial operators across Indonesia.
