PT. Krakatau Shipyard is pleased to announce the renewal of its defense product manufacturing license (Izin Produksi Alat Peralatan Pertahanan dan Keamanan) from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Pertahanan RI) in 2019.
This license renewal builds upon our initial Ministry of Defense authorization received in 2012, which first recognized PT. Krakatau Shipyard as a qualified domestic producer of defense-related maritime assets.
The renewal reflects continued confidence from the Indonesian government in our production capabilities, quality management systems, and commitment to national defense. It authorizes PT. Krakatau Shipyard to design, manufacture, and deliver military-grade vessels including patrol craft, fast boats, and specialized naval support vessels.
As an authorized defense manufacturer, PT. Krakatau Shipyard contributes to Indonesia's policy of strengthening domestic defense industry capabilities (industri pertahanan dalam negeri), reducing reliance on foreign military imports while developing local expertise and technology.
